This picture means a lot to me for several reasons. First, I met my wife here, at this casino where we both worked. She was a cashier and I was in the Security Department. I had the call sign 1 Paul 17 or troublemaker, which had to be retired because of all the stories behind it. Second, this was one of the first comedy clubs where I got paid to perform! Before it became a comedy club, it was the Surveillance room for the casino. They used to call me "tiny dancer" there. Well, as I said, there are so many stories!
I'm hosting at the Ontario Improv in California, performing in front of an audience of more than 300 people. This place holds a special memory for me; it's where I saw my first comedy show back in '98. The headliner was Craig Shoemaker, "The Love Master," and that night got me hooked on comedy. Fast forward to later in my career, and I found myself with the incredible opportunity to host a show featuring him. I was so awestruck that the only word that came to mind was "Matlock"!
This is reason I began this podcast was to delve into people's journeys, to grasp their origins, and to engage in dialogues that pave the way to various topics. My goal is for individuals to feel at ease discussing certain matters with me, and I'm pleased to have gained Adain's trust.
